With just a month since the premiere of his latest single, Rosie, veteran reggae superstar Barrington Levy is ready to release the accompanying music video.
The song was officially released on January 1, via IRIE FM, on the Black Roses Entertainment label.
Levy said the song has been receiving tremendous airplay locally and is doing well on local and international reggae charts.
The video, directed by Allison McLean and Team Roses, is set to follow the song's storyline, which not only depicts the joy of finding romance, but also its protagonist's rules for his love interest.
The video is set to be launched worldwide on March 20 with an exclusive launch party to follow in the evening.
The event is to be held at the South Beach Café, St Andrew, from 6 to 9 p.m.
"It will be an exclusive listening party only, open to the media, because it is not an album launch or anything, and I want it to be intimate," Levy said.
The artiste has guaranteed a night of good fun and clean entertainment.
Although not certain of the date, Levy plans to release his recently completed acoustic album later this year. He is also scheduled to leave the island in April for a monthlong promotional tour for his new single in Europe.
Last year, Levy released his first single in 15 years, a collaboration which features dancehall artiste Mr Vegas. He says though he is open to doing more collaborations, none are in the works anytime soon.
