Buju Banton apologises to the jury {HeadLines}

Jamaican reggae superstar Buju Banton this morning apologised to the jury for losing his cool on the stand.

A penitent Buju, whose real name is Mark Myrie raised his voice on a few occasions while being cross-examined by prosecutor Jim Preston.

Banton said he was sorry for his behaviour.

"I want to apologise to the jury for my verbal outburst yesterday. I was quite emotional," Buju said.

"There goes my mouth putting me in a bit of a rut again," he added.

Buju is facing charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm during the course of a drug trafficking crime, attempting to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, and using a communication facility in the commission of an act constituting a felony.
